I have a 1969 VW Beetle and have probably covered more area than I needed to in “Butyl Sound Deadener”! But to be honest I want to cut out every rattle - as when your car starts off sounding like a tank - every little helps!! I used this tape to cover joins and edges. The whole thing has come together brilliantly.
I also used the tape behind the door cards as well where I had put the sound deadener vertically. I like how it stops the butyl seeping out when rolled and compressed and helps hold the sheets in position when upright.
Over the floor pan and rear engine bay I cut “Mass Noise Liner” and I used the lighter weight “Acoustic Sound Deadener” in the doors behind the “Door Restore Kit” which protects the new door cards from moisture.
I am just about to get the new carpet fitted and the upholstery/sheets put back in so fingers crossed I am able to hear myself think when driving soon!
Have to say all the products are super good to use and install though and I like the science behind the products as well so am hopeful it will be great!25/6/2025

This worked perfectly for joining up the sheets. Has such a great seal aswel. Really easy to work with aswel. Cut to size, peel backing, lay tape and press. Happy days...1/9/2022
